Campground Activities Calendar

  • Horseshoe pits are now available, and dartboards on the stage.
  • The following is the list of events for 2023. Some events are weather dependent.
  • JUNE 16 to 18, 2023 THUNDER ON THE REACH: Re-enactment encampment open over the weekend in the park, with regular admission.
  • Friday June 16, 2023 at 8PM, gunboat battle along the shoreline in the westend of the park
  • Saturday June 17, 2023 at 2PM, Re-enactment of the Loyalist Landing at the westend beach.
  • Sunday June 18, 2023 at 1PM:  Annual UEL Flag Raising Event at the UEL Cemetery, with re-enactors and special guests.  Morning UEL Service at St Albans Church at 11AM.
  • June 30 to July 3, 2023 CANADA DAY WEEKEND EVENTS:  NOTE: Long weekend premium camping rate applied
  • Saturday July 1, 2023  Children’s activities beside the museum from 1PM to3PM, Hamburgers and hotdogs sold at the stage from 5PM to 7PM, music at the stage by Hickory Smith starting at 7PM, fireworks at the west beach at dusk (weather permitting) then more music!
  • Sunday July 2, 2023 Pancake Breakfast $6 at the stage from 8AM to 10AM, Open Mic Night at the stage from 7PM to 10PM
  • Saturday July 15, 2023: Christmas in July, parade through the park starting at 11AM, Santa Claus and gifts will be handed out at the stage at 12PM
  • August 4 to August 7, 2023 –  CIVIC HOLIDAY WEEKEND EVENTS: Note- Long weekend premium camping rate applied
  • Saturday August 5, 2023 Kids crafts at the side of the museum from 1PM to 3PM, Music at the stage area, by Wayne Scott’s Travelling Roadshow, from 7PM to 10PM
  • Sunday August 6, 2023 Pancake Breakfast $6 at the stage 8AM to 11AM, Kids craft activities and alpaca petting area near the stage from 10AM until Noon, music by Country Duo at the stage 7PM to 10PM
  • Saturday August 19, 2020 Halloween in the Park, kids can trick or treat at 6PM, please mark your trailer with a balloon if you are participating.  Karaoke at the stage area starting at 7:30PM
  • LABOUR DAY WEEKEND September 1 to 4, 2023:  Note:  Long weekend premium camping rate applied
  • Saturday September 2, 2023  Musical entertainment at the stage area by Back Swing from 7PM to 10PM
  • Sunday September 3, 2023 Pancake Breakfast $5 at the stage area 8AM to 11AM
  • Saturday September 9, 2023 2nd Annual Chili Fest Cookoff at the stage area t 3PM
  • October 6-9, 2023 Thanksgiving Weekend, Final weekend of camping season for 2022

  • PLEASE NOTE:  As of October 9, The UEL Heritage Centre & Park is now closed for the 2023 season.  Thank you for your visits this year.
  • PLEASE NOTE:   For camping inquiries, please email us at  camping@uel.ca. Our phones are not regularly monitored over the winter season. Contact us for camping for 2024.  For museum or branch contact us at 1784@uel.ca 
  • GIFT SHOP:  New gift items, new and used research books, etc are now available in our gift shop in the museum. If you are looking to see if we have a particular book for sale, email us 1784@uel.ca

  • Saturday September 23, 2023, starting at 10AM, 1812 Veteran Grave Marking Ceremony by Canadian Fencibles and Bay of Quinte UEL, United Church Cemetery in Centreville, ON followed by lunch at LOL Centreville, and grave marking at Moscow United Cemetery in Petworth at 1PM.
  • Monday October 9, 2023, camping season for 2023 closes, museum closed for season
  • Friday October 13, 2023 at 6PM. Spirits of the Landing Event NOTE: THIS EVENT IS SOLD OUT, sorry!
  • Saturday November 18, 2023 at 1:30 PM, regular branch meeting in Belleville, speaker will be author Alex McNaught, on the History of Wallbridge
