Education and Outreach

In June of 2009 we brought in over 200 students as part of our 225th celebrations. We offered educational programming that included hands-on activities, a film screening, a museum tour as well as a 25 page education package to supplement the day’s activities. The day was a success and from it we have created more material and are now offering programming to single classes. The programming is curriculum-based and geared towards the Grade 7 curriculum.

We offer tours of our museum and grounds to any interested groups including seniors. Tours may be arranged in advance during our off-season. We can also arrange to have individuals make a presentation to your class, club or group about Loyalist history or our UEL Heritage Centre and Park. This service is available throughout the calendar year.

To arrange a group visit to our site or a speaker for your organization, contact us at 1784@uel.ca.
